Community Centre Operations Manager

 

Salary: £25,000 per annum

Contract Hours:  37.5 hours per week

Poole Communities Trust is a young but ambitious charity with plans to open a number of community centres across Poole. Our first community centre opened in June and is helping local people get active, keep learning and make friends. After our first two months we are already seeing over 250 people use our centre each week.

 

We are looking for an ambitious Manager who shares our commitment to community development and has great experience of successfully running facilities for the public. The main responsibilities of the role will be:

  • Managing and developing our community centres.
  • Providing a range of stimulating activities that meet local need.
  • Maximising community centre income.
  • Managing volunteers and centre staff.

 

To succeed in this role, you will need to:

  • Be confident, resourceful and pro active and good at problem solving.
  • Have a track record in excellent customer service.
  • Be practical and comfortable to be ‘hands on’ but still understand the ‘big picture’.
  • Have knowledge of health and safety, child protection and adult safeguarding
  • Have great IT skills.
  • Have experience of budget management, marketing and communications.

 

The role has a 3% employer’s pension contribution.

 

The role will be based at our first community centre near to the Branksome Recreation Ground in Poole.
